Since our last newsletter, two of our Hall of Famers have passed away. Dr. Brad Rothermel (Class of 2001) and Jim Colbert (Class of 2000) were long-time inductees to the Hall. Rothermel served as the athletic director at UNLV during its golden era of basketball led by coach Jerry Tarkanian which culminated in the 1990 National Championship. Rothermel passed away March 31 at the age of 88. Colbert, a champion golfer who won eight times on the PGA Tour and became a noted golf course developer, died May 10 at age 85.
