The Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Gala and Induction Ceremony was one of the largest ever as more than 600 people gathered in Lee’s Family Forum to celebrate four new inductees, our inaugural Legacy Award winner and several scholarship recipients.
Las Vegas Raiders and Aces owner Mark Davis, PGA Tour and former UNLV champion golfer Ryan Moore, long-time UNLV assistant basketball coach Tim Grguriuch and former NBA Executive of the Year Mark Warkentien were inducted into the Hall while hall of fame co-founder Cliff Findlay was presented with the first ever Legacy Award. In addition, four local coaches received the Hunkie Cooper Commitment to Youth Award and scholarships were presented honoring late Hall of Famers Rich Abajian and David Humm as well the Stallworth Strong and Simon Keith Foundation awards.
